Judging Format

The competition will be divided into the Initial Selection, the Preliminaries (Rounds 1-3), and the Final. The Initial Selection Round will be judged using DVDs (in DVD-video format) of applicants’ performances.
The Preliminary Rounds and the Final will be open to the public.

Judging

1. The results of the Initial Selections will be publically announced on the competition website.
2. All contestants’ results will be made public.
3. The jurors will have no contact with the contestants between Round 1 and the Final. This rule does not apply to any contestants who have been eliminated from the competition at an earlier stage.
4. The Jury’s decision is final. Neither appeals nor objections will be accepted.

Instruments

The organizers will provide pianos for the Preliminary Rounds and the Final Round.
